Admissions to Main School in Foundation 2
All parents are invited to make an appointment to view the school when they register their child and given an opportunity to ask questions and relate information about their child. This is best arranged when the school is in operation, but if parents cannot manage these times an appointment can be arranged after pupils have left the building.
All children start school in September of the academic year in which they become five, An induction evening for parents, is arranged in the Summer term and two visits to school are arranged at the end of the summer term, prior to admittance in September. LEA leaflets are available from school on ways of preparing children for the early stages.
Registration for admission for 2011 must be made by 15th January 2011 using the Local Authority Admissions Forms. Late admissions are to contact Pupil Services on 606-2000

Out of Zone Admissions 2011
All schools have catchment zones and a directory of addresses is available in each school detailing zones, or parents may contact Pupil Services on 606-2000 for information on school zones.
Parents who would prefer to send their children to a school other than that which serves their catchment area may do so provided there is room within the preferred school’s standard number or with special approval from the LEA.
Parents who wish to request an out of area place should complete the normal application form from the Director of Children’s Services and return it by the end of December preceding the September when their child is due to start school.
It may not always be possible for the LEA to grant out of zone requests. There is an appeals procedure for parents who are not satisfied with the LEA decision for their child.
